Walking through the store on the way to the range this AM. Something on the Ruger shelf caught my eye. First thought was 8 shot N frame S&W. Realizing it was on a Ruger shelf I had to go back. It was an eight shot 357 Redhawk. Relieved for moon clips too! I know you guys have read how I generally DO NOT buy the RH just because I don't like the action or grip frame. This might be different... It could be a DAO gun and the 357 doesn't recoil that bad...

I want one of these too. But I already have a 7 shot 686 S&W. Seems like a lot of hassle to trade just for one more round and more weight.......but I do love the look of the Redhawk

I love the idea of an 8-shot .357 RH, but am holding out for a 5.5" or 7.5" version.

There's already a video review up of one on Youtube. Not sure if this guy happened to get a lemon, or if there might be some problems inherent to the eight-shot configuration, but either way the guy didn't seem too impressed with it: youtu.be/SsP8cnMjt8M

The DA feels decent in this one. SA is typical RH nasty. Don't see it as anything but a game gun. Does need grips. Some Hogue grips would do for me.
