Hello Have any you guys ever see a Freedom Arms Field grade with grey plastic grips? I called Freedom Arms and they said they only installed them on a few. I bought it as a project gun. I am sending it to Huntington this week. Regards Mark

A friend of mine has an early Field Grade that came with those plastic grips. He long ago changed them. I'd imagine your serial number is close to his.

FA did this as a cost effective way to do grips ie: entry level for Field Grade guns an alternative to the Pachmayer Black rubber grips.

Thanks Guys!
It just seems a cheap alternative to a $1400.00 gun as it sold for new! Mr. Huntington has it now. I'll post pics in 8 to 10 weeks. I just ordered 200rds of brass from Buffalo Bore ammo.

Only reason that I can think of to order Brass from Buffalo Bore is for a .500 JRH conversion. Maybe something like this (crappy picture)? Paul

Paul
I see in a previous post you experienced a broken bolt spring. I assume that was with your FA83 500JRH. Have you had any other issues? What kind of accuracy are you getting?
Thanks for the info!
