so the basic machine work is completed, except for reshaping & fitting the lever to fit the rough stock shape... but that is going to my welder buddy to heat up & reshape... after that it's just stock finishing that I'll do, & metal polishing & blueing... that I'll have to send it out to have done heavy barrel chambered in 38-56 WCF... the front sight 2 screw ramp is installed, but I haven't put the dovetailed front sight in yet, as it'll have to come back out to remove the ramp, before blueing note the stock is not fully seated in the full rifle picture below... I need to polish out the burr inside the stock pocket of the receiver, after installing the Williams target site... it's a good tight fit otherwise both the stock & the forearm are epoxy bedded... the stock wetted before fitting... this action is double stamped... as it was likely produced in 577-450 1st, then sent back to Enfield rebuilt & proofed in 303

That receiver is pretty rough. Going to be hard to refinish that one and keep all the lettering a proof marks on it.....

ya... I know... would like to keep as much as possible might have to do a bead blast rather than a high polish blue... guessing you know as much as anyone on that though DOGS as long as I can keep the center Enfield stamps... I might be able to let go of some of those proof marks & unit stamps or what ever the others are on the outer edges... maybe I can find a place that will restamp some of it... when its getting polished & blued

Take really good pics of the detail before you bead blast so you remember exactly how it looked.... you can give that to the finish guy so he can re-stamp, if that's possible.
