Another fun 7 shooter! Scandium frame, steel cylinder. Weighs little, hits big.
Last 5 rounds of mid-range Remington 125 gr. Golden Saber 357's. Every round outside the orange dot is my fault.

Had a chance to buy one when introduced but Smith was way ahead of the curve and I was too far back. Love to have one today. Buffalo Bore 158LSWCHPs at +P loadings would be the cat's meow in this platform. The BB load is for 38 Specials but would whistle along near 1,100fps out of that 386.

I shoot a handloaded 158LSWHP out of a 3" 7 shot 686 and carry the Remington factory 158LSWCHP +P in an Airweight J frame. The 386 SC/s has never cared for lead. When I bought it new, it refused to group with any lead bullet and leaded like crazy. Smith took it back and worked on the forcing cone which appeared to have left the factory without any angled cut. It didn't lead afterwards but groups with swaged and cast bullets were still not to my liking. Fortunately, it shines with 125-158 JHP loaded over charges of HS-6 that begin with "9", all in new .357 Starline Brass. It also shoots the partial throttle Remington Golden Saber 125's into the same group. I haven't carried it but think it would be a peach with L frame Crimson Trace roundbutt grips. I purchased a pair online but the fit was terrible and I sent them back. I'll try another pair one day when I can try them on before I buy them. That combination would, IMHO, be a dynamite belt gun.

I've got one and really like it. Use to have a Taurus Titanium which I traded in on this - glad I did.

I have the SW 360 with full coverage rubber grips. It rides on my hip on every walking excursion in the desert or mountains.
At 13 oz., I completely forget it's there. It's the only gun I've been able to carry without pulling my pants up all day. What's the best gun, the one you have with you. Yea, Yea, I know; suspenders. Then my shoulders chaf.
This little beast with a 357 mag can really kick your azz. I don't care who you are or how long you've been shooting. However, I've had to shoot in real life dangerous situation and recoil wasn't felt. I looked down a few minutes later wondering why my hand felt tingling and saw the black and blue on my palm. You'll be glad you got that tiny amount more power out of the 357mag in a short barrel no matter how tiny. Forget the 38. Also forget practice without a glove and a the Jerry Miculek death grip.
This is not a range or fun gun. It's a save your life kind of gun.

I need to get serious about finding and securing one for myself. A bucket list revolver!
