I bought one a few years ago at an auction. I won't tell you what I paid,,, but I was told I should have worn a mask.

isn't Creeker a forum member? same guy? Or is Creeker just the geographical opposite of a hilljack?
Watching the mechanized version of a Magma is kind of hypnotic.

I like my Master Caster & it has its place. I have a spare, a very old one but in very good shape. These machines will handle both Magma & Ballisti-Cast moulds plus about any other single or double cavity with keys & a Magma sprue plate installed. I need to go through a bunch of this stuff & put it out there for sale.

I've used mine,,, and it has it's place. But I also use my RCBS pots as much as anything. Unfortunately my Magma has developed a stuck thermostat. I've got to take it apart, buy one & rebuild it. But when it's running,, it puts some slugs out.

I have seen those pots before, sometimes at quite a bargain. Besides taking the stress off of the users body to support the mold, what other advantages do they have?
When I considered one for myself, I always came back to the 2 cavity machine vs. 4+ cavity hand cast. I figured my 4 cavity could plop out slugs faster. I'd love to hear from users about that.

Correct, I've had one for about 15 years & they are amazing if you do large volumes of casting (I do) as mentioned some other moulds can be adapted to fit the Master Caster but not all of them. It's a wonderful machine & with 30 lbs. capacity you can really make a pile of bullets in a hurry.
