That's SWEET!...I had a 5" Model of 1989 for years, I loaned it to a close friend who passed away and never saw it again. Of course, I'd much rather have my friend back than the gun.

Shot a 5in. in IDPA years ago. Never liked the balance, but was OK to shoot Pin Matches with. Still have a Thunder Ranch Model 22 and a Springfield Armoury Commerative 625 (Mountain Gun done Pimp Style)

the pre lock guns are very nice... I was wanting one several years ago at a gun show I was selling at, the guy next to me & I were talking, & he had one... but he was wanting to keep it worse than he wanted to sell it after all the years... I finally settled on a 1917 S&W revolver that I ran across for a reasonable price... it whet my appetite, but not satisfied it... I'll have to get something newer sooner or later

cmh; That's a FINE lookin' revolver! I have a pair of 625's. One is a Model 1989 625-6 with 5" barrel and the other is a 625-8 Jerry Miculek Special with 4" barrel. They are both shot a LOT! This may show you why I like mine, a LOT. Shoot standing at 25 yards with the JM Special: That target, and a bunch of similar ones, have been shot with my target load - a Mihec mold for a home cast H&G #68 (200 gr. SWC) ahead of 4.0 grs. of Bullseye or equivalent. User friendly, from reloads to target. Using appropriate loads, these revolvers are fine field pieces, too. That applies to edible small game and includes hogs and deer at reasonable ranges. FWIW Dale53

I enjoy the .45acp revolvers, too. Here's my 625 PC:
