In his article on the 327 and single seven revolver Brian Pierce noted that accuracy was poor with common expander balls in reloading dies. I'm curious if those if you reloading with good success in accuracy have done anything different with respect to your reloading dies. Jeffer

I have Redding dies and didn't experience what Brian wrote about in that article.

I'm using Lee 32 Magnum dies and have had zero problems with accuracy.

The expander on my RCBS 327 Federal die mic'd .313 and provided almost virtually no neck tension on .314 bullets, I replaced it with a .310 expander from another die set and the issue was solved. This was several months before I read the article in Handloader Magazine, and although I never loaded any rounds using the original plug, I can definitely see where it could cause the problems described in the article.
