I located an FA Model 83 in 50AE. Can it be rechambered to 500JRH?

Nope. The 50 AE is too large in diameter at the base.

Check into having an extra cylinder made... I think JRH can make one for you..

Check into having an extra cylinder made... I think JRH can make one for you.. Better bet is to locate a spare cylinder in smaller caliber. Have extra cylinder fit and chambered to 500 JRH.

What Jdoc said. Huntington has done two 50Ae's to 500JRH for me. I waited a long time for the cylinder to turn up for the second conversion. Search out a cylinder.

You can also send the gun back to FA and they will make a 500WE cylinder for it if you wanted to go that route. The 500WE and 500JRH are twin cartridges ballisticlly...
