anyone else see the SAA Standard Mfg. is coming out with?
gun is at the 1:00 mark. looks pretty nice, especially the non engraved one. I wonder how it will compare to Colt and USFA.
also at the 15:00 mark is an octagon barreled SAA by EMF.

Standard Manufacturing makes some gorgeous reproduction of the old Parker side by sides, Winchester model 21 and other high end shotguns. They definitely have the ability to make a top notch revolver.

Looks great!
Cimarron also announced a Colt pocket model cartridge conversion in .380!

January 4th episode of American Rifleman TV featured Connecticut Shotguns/Standard Manufacturing. Killer show. I would say you could expect great things from this manufacturer.

Looks great! Cimarron also announced a Colt pocket model cartridge conversion in .380! With no loading gate! Should be interesting. Super glad I just paid a metric butt-tonne for the same gun in 32S&W.

I bought an 1849 to convert about the time that Kirst stopped making the conversions. Gary Barnes said they're a little problematic and work better with a relined barrel. I never pursued it further.
I'm wondering if one of the new guns could be rechambered for .38Colt.

Could be but the originals were converted to .38 rimfire and the replicas tend to be a wee bit beefier. Could just be that the .380 was the most practical solution. Either way, I'm a happy camper!

Seems like the right area to build them . Suppose that is where the USFA machines and employees landed?

Seems like the right area to build them . Suppose that is where the USFA machines and employees landed? Makes you wonder. If so, they will be quality guns.

Gary Barnes? You wouldn't happen to mean the fellow that builds interesting air rifles, would you? I don't know about air rifles. I know him for doing cartridge conversions on percussion guns, like the 3rd model Dragoon he did for me. He has a website and a couple Facebook pages. www.cartridgeconversion.com/
