Yup to all of the above. It's later in the day now and the Bulldog in the fleece vest pocket has been long traded for the M69 in a Bianchii slide on my jeans. With suspenders. A few years back I quit with the ever advanced tacti-cool training when after a 2-day personal protective detail course I felt like I needed an ER..it's later in the life now and I no longer see myself rolling around on the ground fighting anymore. I know it may not be my choice and the best option is to identify threats sooner. On the class thing, it was my turn to be "protected" and scenario had us exit mock vehicle close to street corner. We grouped then moved to corner where we were swamped by "badguys". Things went from airsoft to rubber knifes, then to a mess on the ground. In-elegant but realistic ! Being close to corner, a single protector should have viewed around the corner first, or in real life, real vehicle we could have circled the block and left out one person to view seen as we circled. Etc..solutions. Stay safe. In a real vehicle & real situation I'd view it as a 3000lb getaway. Shift into 4 high & stomp the accelerator!

Yes, but we had already exited and covered 10ft or so. The lesson was to recon, in vehicle and on foot, before putting principle at risk. At larger places, like Wally World or a Mall(heaven forbid)circle the lot before focussing on find a parking spot ! Stay safe folks.

What's going on around you & who is there.
