I should have known I'd eventually get one. I didn't time it, but it couldn't have taken more than 10 minutes to load 100 rounds. Way yonder faster than what I was able to do on the old single stages.

I looked at Dillon off & on for years, w/o getting one. Then about 17-18 years ago,,, I got into USPSA. It soon caused me to really look into a Dillon. I studied & studied,, and I chose the 650 as my first machine. I had a pair of single-stage Rock Chuckers,,, but I needed more ammo faster than I'd ever needed any. So,,, I finally got my 650. I was extremely surprised AND happy with that decision. Now,, I have 4 Dillon presses on my bench. Once you get accustomed to it,,, it'll be faster than you realize. I once decided to see how many rounds I could crank out in 1 hour. I filled a dozen primer tubes, and got all my stuff together to keep it fed. I did a bit over 1100 rounds in one hour,,, but it was steady work. Now,, I did that to test myself against what they claimed it would do. Now,,, I relax, & easily get in the 700-800 rounds w/o sweating.

I have two Dillons (one small primer and one for large primers) and a Spolar loader (for 28, 20 and 12 gauge) on my reloading bench. I wouldn't change a thing. You'll love the Dillon once you get the hang of it. As with all reloading machines, if you get messed up or if something does not look/feel right -- STOP, regroup and proceed on the side of caution. ENJOY!!!

I know I love my 550. It's set up for 45 colt exclusively. I still have a couple of Rock Chuckers on the bench as well. My time is limited so if I can knock out 300-400 rounds in an hour during the week, I can shoot on the weekend.
