Hello everyone!
I'm looking for some brass for 500 maximum.
I would take what you can spare (for a price).
I should be getting the gun in a week or so and trying to find the reloading stuff for it.
If someone has a little package with dies etc, I would be interested in buying.
Thanks for your time,
John

Just an FYI, you can make .500 Maximum brass by cutting down .50 Alaskan brass. Also, of I understand correctly, .500 Linebaugh dies can be used to make .500 Maximum reloads.

Starline has 50 Alaskan in stock, but they start at 250 pieces so it's a commitment. I use a tubing cutter to rough cut then a Redding case trimmer to length. I think I have a good supply of 50 AK - how many are you looking for? Hornady made properly head stamped 500 Max brass once upon a time but it is hard to find and pricey! Regular 500 Linebaugh dies will work. Tim

Thanks, I'll check back soon to see what you can let go.

I don't mean to be rude, but speaking for myself, I don't think you should be asking people to donate brass. The properly headstamped max brass is rare and expensive. Furthermore, having cut down .500 S&W Mag brass for my .500 JRH, I know the work involved and would not give it away. You can buy the brass at MidwayUSA.com (link below) for $30 for 20 pieces if you don't need much, or $118 for 100 Pieces. I spent $118 for 100 pieces of JRH brass, so I know it stings. From there you can cut it down and you're good to go. www.midwayusa.com/product/941427377/starline-reloading-brass-50-alaskan

I don't need a box of 50 so if someone had a few to spare that's what I'm looking for. Please don't be so quick to assume I'm a freeloader. I'm fully expecting to pay items I'm looking for but probably like myself, people don't need a full order and that's where I could get some that I need, offset their cost. If my post sounded like a "give me" post I fully apologize.

Properly headstamped brass is as rare as hen's teeth. I too would suggest cutting .50 AK brass down. I have about 100 pieces of the correctly headstamped brass and it was very hard to find.

Ha, seems like a hunt to find them. What is the minimum quantity of alaskan you can get? I was just looking for a dozen or two.. Midway doesn't ship to ma.

"Midway doesn't ship to MA" Where did you get that info ? When I tried to order a few months ago and was notified they don't ship ammo or components to ma. If you have recently, I'll try again.. can't hurt!

It wouldn't surprise me, due to the unconstitutional restrictions of the government in MA. I just couldn't find anything of that nature on the Midway site.
