NOE 452 230, I haven't tried them in 45 Colt cases yet, these were loaded in ACP cases and fired from my NM Flattop 45 over Unique, I think these will be perfect for the plinking and varmint shooting I do, not sure I even need to use 45 Colt cases.

dave.... good looking bullet, NOE 230 HP. Looks like your recovered bullets were shot into sand. Try a couple in .45 ACP on a line of 3 or 4 milk jugs, see what the bullets do. Water provides an approximation of what happens in meat. Regular 230 RN work perfectly on rabbits. David Bradshaw

David, these were shot into wet dirt with a bit of sand at 50 feet. Your experience with RN is definitely different from mine! I once landed 5 230gr RN bullets in a jackrabbit, and still had to pop him in the noggin to finish him. I do plan on trying these in some water jugs, so far I am very pleased with the results.

I have that mold with the large .250 HP pin, It's an outstanding bullet for the 45 ACP/Auto Rim. I haven't tried it in 45 Colt yet either but plan on it one day soon.

I like the way you're thinking. The 45 ACP in a single action revolver is the bomb for predator hunting
