Ok, so I gotta hear more about the "inflatable waterproof solar powered camping lamp" ? Also let us know how that dutch oven compares to the more traditional cast ones please. Can you bury it in a fire ? Under coals ?

This thing: luminaid.com/(not my pic) This Aluminum Dutch oven thing isn't going to replace my iron ones any time - PERIOD They're cheap and very flexible use though. They're sold in areas with larger immigrant population concentration. My MIL does huge quantities of rice, soups, stews... everything in it. I think it will burn baked goods and such if actually used on coals directly and it does not have a lipped lid. The bottom is totally curved so it wobbles on a flat surface - dunno if that is intentional but such a curve is great for mixing flour for baked goodies and for permitting the use of minimal amounts of oil for frying smaller stuff. I like to catch and eat minnows - frawd with some vinegar I was eyeing it for canoe or group camping because it is big enough, light enough and wide enough so that I can: wash clothes and other dishes in it, pan fry fairly large fish, boil water VERY quickly, pack my sleeping bag in it, bake with it by using it on its side as a reflector oven (NOT as a Dutch oven), stick small game whole in it for stews, and... maybe use it as a helmet or the lid as a shield

My Wife got me the hardback copy of the Lyman 50th Reloading Handbook, I love reloading manuals & waited to see if this one would show up under our tree before I bought it. It's a great manual. Merry Christmas everyone.

I received an Amazon Echo, a desk mounted speed punching bag, and a gift certificate to an oriental restaurant from coworkers.
My wife and I are involved in a major building remodeling project and have bunch other stuff going on so never got much for each other. Our young son did pretty well though.

My wife got me a Pachmyar Decelerator for my BFR. Okay, it's for a Ruger SBH, but the fit is actually about 95% perfect. My brother got me 100 pieces of 10mm Starline brass and 440 grain Cast Performance WFNGC .500 bullets that I just loaded over 28.0 grains of W296 for .500 JRH.

My usual habit is to give a list of stuff I was going to buy anyway to my family so they don't go overboard. The biggest gift for me is to have them all together at once and see the joy it brings my wife.
