I currently own an SBH and an SRH in .44 Magnum. As much as I love them both, being they are the same caliber, I have considered sending the SRH to JRH Advanced Gunsmithing for a possible caliber conversion. I'm not 100% sure I want to do this, and I don't have the necessary funds for it right meow. But what calibers do you guys think would be fun? My current calibers that I do own firearms in are .44 Magnum, .454 Casull, .475 Linebaugh/.480 Ruger, and .500 JRH/.50 AE. I wish I could do a .445 Super Mag, but that's clearly not going to happen. I have considered doing another .500 JRH or a .500 Linebaugh. But I'd love to hear your thoughts.
On a side note, I'm considering to let Jack just fine tune this gun instead of rechambering. It's a nice revolver and I do like it. So that would be cheaper and make it even nicer.

I remember before the Toklat 454 came on my radar, seeing Max's 500 with the shortened fluted barrel, and thinking I would really like something like that in 44 or 480. With something incorporating a really low mounted Fastfire 3 it would be pretty slick, but that's just me.

since you're thinking about the SRH... how about 50 AE & machine the cylinder for a moon clip, then you could go ahead & crimp the bullets eliminating some of the bullet creep issues found with some 50 AE revolvers

You know what I'm going to suggest - .500 Linebaugh SRH....... now that is a good idea for sure! I might opt for the .500 JRH as I already have everything I need for that cartridge. The Linebaugh would require new brass, dies, and of course bullets. Still, this is an alluring proposition 😀 I wonder if I could something like a 7-shot .41 Magnum...

I feel like most of us have a "list" of things to buy or build. #1 on mine is 9 months underway, #2 is going to start some time in the next year, and when those are paid in full #3 will be a 6 shot 480 Ruger with the Bowen GP44 conversion. The SRH platform is my favorite for big bore DAs, and having 6 shots with some very big holes has some serious cool factor. BUT, a 500L would be pretty cool too!
