I snagged this old Myres shuck on eBay a few weeks ago. Someone had riveted on a strap and snap, which definitely didn't add to its looks. Once I had the old thing in hand, I got to work removing the strap and snap which of course left holes in the hide. No worries!! A few donut holes where cut from another piece of leather, and I then glued them in the holes left by the rivets. A little conditioning and buffing and the holster was ready for another 80 years! This old shuck was built for a target sighted Police Positive, but rather than search for a sixgun for it, I knew exactly what this holster was destined for. I boxed it up and sent it to a dear Texas friend, Mike Madbo Hutyra, the Mad Bohemian! Madbo was tickled when he opened the box and promptly ran to his safe and began searching...after a minute or two he pulled out the perfect match for the resurrected Myres; a Colts Police Positive Target 32 Police, with King sights and factory Ivory stocks! Looks like it was meant to be. Christmas came a little early for an old gun man in Texas! Merry Christmas to The Classic Sixgun Man...Madbo...

A neater guy would be hard to find on BOTH ends of that gift! Notice how the old guys just flop down on the concrete to shoot, no chairs, pads or mats. Gotta be tough to get old in the west.

I tell you for sure and for certain MikeH is top bloody shelf. Very generous for sure. Old timers on this forum remember well how often he busted out with a book or some such for a random member.

I had "Hell I Was There" that Madbo gave away a few years back. I was the lucky winner. I read it and enjoyed it and payed it forward to another member here. But for the life of me I can't remember who it was.
