I don't even want to know what the reserve price is!

They have been listed for 3 or 4 cycles now and it seems like north of $6k did not meet reserve which does not surprise me. The seller bought a 475 Long form me a year or so ago and has had several nice Linebaugh/Bowen etc guns for sale as of late.

The reserve is in line with the pair of Vaqueros that sold not long ago.

At $4500 each plus the base gun from Linebaugh, if the reserve is $10K and the pair has provenance as the first two built then it's probably not a bad deal.
Of course, you've gotta find someone with $10K sitting around who wants those exact guns. I suspect they'll be for sale for a while then the right person will come along and gladly pay the reserve.

He sure is short on details. If you want people to spend that much money, you shouldn't make them jump through hoops to get basic information on the guns.

No thanks, I don't care what number they are.

^^^^ This. If your selling something worth $10k then iPhone quality pics should be the minimum. Spend $100 and hire a photographer if you don't have the eye. I mean this as constructive criticism, not bashing the guy.
It is a real nice pair of Linebaughs.

Weren't these the subject of a magazine article?
I agree that the listing is very unimpressive.

Just curious, but does anyone build on maximum frames anymore? Maybe remembering this wrong but seems like I remember something about several smiths not doing maximum conversions anymore.
On that note, I wonder if that will make these more valuable??
