I've been tinkering with my parts bin and the loading press to figure out how much power I enjoy in a light weight gun. I was curious if any of the 480 conversion owners have weighed their guns?

Thanks for the numbers guys, those weights should be manageable for the loads I have in mind.

Has anyone built one of these with an alloy grip frame?

I wouldn't advise it.
Even with 1000-1100fps loads that mid-frame gun is a hand full in the .480.
Mine had the extended grip Jack does and I was glad I had it.
Do what you want though....

Based on my current experiments I don't want to go lower than about 40 oz, just curious if anyone has done it. I prefer lighter guns but would like a 420 gr load to be enjoyable.
