If anyone is still looking a pair just showed up on ebay... Looks like a bargain (no personal interest, just looking to help). Ruger Redhawk Uncle Mikes Grip r.ebay.com/Nim0ih(I love the Spegal/Uncle Mike's/Butler Creek Grips and keep an eye out for them).

Received a pair of Butler Creek Redhawk grips generously sent by a Singleactions member. Beaucoup thanks, Ed. We’ll see how these handles do on a 5-1/2” .44, with stouter recoil for the same load than the 7-1/2” barrel produces. David Bradshaw

Thanks to NRA Dave I got a set for my friends 5.5" 44. I know I really like them on my 4" 454. Saves the thumb knuckle and they aren't as big as the pachmeyers.
If anyone with a RH has never tried these I'd jump on the set on ebay.

^^^^^ Agreed!
I have a box full of Redhawk grips. Love the guns but searched continually for a a set of handles that felt good, pointed well, and didn't hurt when the loads got heavy. Tried everything under the sun, then settled on the Butler Creek, the least expensive set in the whole mess. They really do tame the beast!
