I had the pleasure of firing the first rounds out of my shiney new 24-6. I was most pleased to say the least! That tiny little group right under the gun is the first 6 rounds. The orange squares are 2"X 2". This .44 special IS special!

Great shooting! What load were you using? I would need at least a 24" barrel with a Leupold 6.5x20 to get a group that size.

Great shooting! What load were you using? I would need at least a 24" barrel with a Leupold 6.5x20 to get a group that size. I shot that group with home cast 250 grn. Keith bullets out of tire weights, W-W brass and 7.5 grains of the new Unique. At 50 yards the same bullet and 15 grains of 2400 did the best of the 2 loads. I am really happy with how this gun shoots. Thanks for the kind words.

Good stuff. Folks keep fussin' over the new S&W's but every one I read about or see shoots better than most of the "oldies".

After I got my sights adjusted for a six o'clock hold I backed up about 20 yards and shot the center group with the 2400 load and this is what I got. I have never been more pleased with how a new gun shoots. This one is a keeper for sure!
