Two happy birthday thoughts:
1. Nothing beats a pleasant surprise, especially when you surprise yourself
2. There is much to recommend regarding losing some weight when you hit 45, even when the weight is in your caliber choice.
Well chosen, and happy birthday.

There is much to recommend regarding losing some weight when you hit 45, even when the weight is in your caliber choice. Well chosen, and happy birthday. Number 1 is always covered because I surprise myself daily. AFA Number 2, reducing calibers seems to be the most consistent weight reduction I have accomplished recently. DOH!

I managed to pull off the 45 for my 45th unintentionally six years ago. Came across a guy locally who was selling an Ed Brown Kobra Carry. When I had all my cash in hand and due to other commitments and bad weather, when we finally got together to do the deal it was on the day of my 45th B-day.

Also thats the best looking fence rail I've ever seen, who uses 4x4's. Ha! It's sitting in an Adirondack chair but due to the angle and the close up it DOES look like fencing! The bluing does have that certain "something" to it. The front of the crane needs a touch up along with the tip of the front sight and a scuff on the cylinder but unless I go full barbecue I don't think I'm going to sweat it.

I really like the feel of it and shoot it well too.
I don't know how much more concealable it becomes, but it does seem easier on T shirts than some of my other 1911's as the butt is very smooth also.
