Is there a commercial caster other than Missouri Bullets that offers the Hy-Tek coating on 480 bullets ? I like that coating better than the paint job I can do here, but would like to see different weights and shapes. My efforts at google-fu coming up short here.

Might check SNS casting, Bayou Bullets, and Leatherhead Bullets. I don't recall seeing 480's but doesn't hurt to look.

Paint going on spotty, a second coat leaves'em too big. No sizer here yet. Running short on time, heck, outta time. I've things I can use, and we're only talking deer. Some leeway when using the 480. I'm being fussy ya know. Got a batch in the mail, part of a 3 bullet order. The ones I wanted the most, were left un-sized ! Sigh. Think I need to go with whats in the basement already, and am sure anything down there will be lethal to deer.

I think I need to spend more time shootin' and less time fussin'. Ive a few rows of that big HP from a gent from Alaska that likely fell outta a mold in Idaho. These have 12grs of Longshot under'em. I've some Penn 335gr TH's deepseated on 8grs of Unique that splash right thru a new steel drum with ease. Light loads for the 480 to be sure but enough and then some for deer inside 75yds here. I did find one other commercial caster with that Hi-Tek coating, similar bullet shape to the Missouri but 30grs or so heavier.

I don't think any deer inside 75-100yds is gonna stop a big'ol hunk of 480 lead. Unless them deer/bear by you learned to wear BP vests Carry On! BigBore44

That's an amazingly nice offer. I believe the bullets from a Dennis in Alaska came from you to begin with ! I've just been in a perfect storm kinda mess here and not ready for hunting season yet. Contract issues, wife just now back to work, dryer crap-out, really just life stuff but bad timing for me. I have options here, just had been waiting on a bullet that won't be workable in time. Sixshot, if you ever find yourself in NE Ohio, your money is no good. Room n board here. I used to frequent a bird hunters webforum where this service was freely and openly provided. Wanna hunt pheasant in the upper mid-west, folks would offer guest rooms up. Grouse at my camp in the 'Ghany's, it's been done. Like to see this webforum do the same. I've had bird hunters from SC to VA at my camp and hosted folks from Fla,Ariz, and Ireland at my camp for tacticool courses. Gridley, you may fire when ready...
