So I have a Rock Island Armory 1911 that I added a .460 Rowland conversion to. Rock Standard 2-Tone to be specific. Did the conversion about 4 months ago, so far no issues. Well, Wednesday, it started having a mega-heavy trigger pull, the slide has a hitch and is snagging on something as it goes back into battery, and the trigger can be pulled without depressing the grip safety. So something has definitely gone wrong here.
I'm bringing it in to a gunsmith tomorrow as I have no skills with fixing 1911s. Any thoughts on what I might have broke?

Update, the gunsmith figured it. Their was a metal piece that broke off the beaver tail safety rendering it inoperable. That piece then lodged behind the trigger leaf spring causing the difficult trigger pull and issue with the slide catching as it came home. So, $45 for a new part and $150 to fit it as it's not a perfect match. Also, I'm springing for a trigger job while it's in pieces. Might as well.

It has to be machined it's not a direct fit.
