Yes, Universal is the same as Universal Clays. As to the AA9 to H110 comparison, take a look at a burn rate chart, such as this one (but check others as well). www.reloadersnest.com/burnrates.asp

I've fallen in love with Universal because it burns soooo clean. It bumped Unique out of my list of go-to powders (under the proper circumstances where either would work).

I use Unique more than any other single powder. That said, I do use several others for various purposes.
.32 S&W Long - Bullseye, Unique, Red Dot .32 H&R Mag - Unique, 2400 .380 ACP - Unique, 231 .38 Special - Red Dot, Unique .44 Special - Unique, 2400, Blue Dot .44 Magnum - Unique, 2400, H110 .45 ACP - WSL, Unique

I have in the last few years, been trying to narrow down the powder I keep on hand. I have a fair amount of Unique, which for years and years was my go to powder in the 44 Magnum, 45 Colt, 357 Magnum, and 45 ACP, I keep Bullseye for the 380, HS6 for midrange 454 Casull loads, Longshot has become my powder of choice in the 45 Colt, 9mm, 357 Magnum, and the 480 Ruger, for top end loads, it seems to be Power Pro 300-MP all the way.

My most used powders have always been Unique & 2400 in all the straight wall calibers. In my competition revolvers its WST by a landslide. Dick Ditto

For 327-500, WC820 with the AA #9 burn rate. Because I have lots of it. I'm talking Donald Trump lots!

Titegroup for 9/40/45acp H110 for 357/44/45 colt Hs6/h4227 for 500 max Unique gets used mostly for creating shot loads for the above cartridges now, it used to be my go to for 900-1000fps loads in 357/44/45colt but has been replaced by titegroup since it's generally easier to find in large quantities.

For light target loads I like Titegroup in everything I've tried, for more power Longshot is my preferred choice.

W 231 has pretty much replaced all the loads I used to use Bullseye in, I suppose you could tack HP 38 right in there too as I hear it is the same powder but I've never owned a pound of it. Unique and 2400 are used in about anything that needs a little more oomph than the 231 loads and H110/296 for top end stuff. I have many more powders than this on the shelves but I have been trying to simplify and pare down the powders I use and buy. I could probably get by with just those four powders and live happily ever after. I will start loading for the .327 here soon and am hoping I can get by with just these powders although I have used 700x quite a bit in the .32 H&R and may need to see what it will get me in the .327 also.

Forgot to add but AA #9 and 4227 would be hard to get rid of also.
