I challenged Mike sometime back to make me a special holster, no instructions for what it should be other than something for my 2 1/2" Smith 19 fully carved, but he had complete open discretion for what he made me. While this may sound like the perfect order for a leather stretcher like Mike it actually if far harder, how do you make the perfect holster for a customer who isn't telling you what he wants it to be? Id rib him every now and then about if he had forgotten about me, he would try and draw clues out of me and other than its not a Reeder gun so please no nekid ladies on it he could make me what ever he wanted. Well a couple weeks ago I ribbed him about it again and he said you know he had gotten inspired and had started to finish the holster. So for the last couple of weeks I have been anxiously waiting the post man at work, checks to pay bills with? Eh big deal, wheres my box? Well today it showed, and as luck would have it I had the gun it was built for on my hip (in my well used Simply Rugged Sour Dough holster). Mikes pictures are so much better than mine are though. Words and pictures simply can not do it justice, the attention to all of the fine details really set this art piece on another level. It isn't going to be a safe queen and will be used whenever I want to carry this gun and am dressed such that it can be covered. Ironic that it is a holster for daily carry where if it is doing it job it will never be seen, but the satisfaction I will derive from owning this holster simply can not be put into words. The gun is a special gun from another long time Shootist that I think the world of, the only problem is now this gun deserves better that the Pachys it wears now. Perhaps another call to an old Shootist friend is in order now...

Doc's work is infectious. My first introduction to them was sixshots NW Hunter, and I knew I had to have some of that fine leatherwork. Now, I have a handfull, and I too have an order in for him to work his magic with just a few ideas out of me. I'm a patient man & I know that when I get a package from Doc,,, I'm going to be very, very pleased when I open it. Just like you were! Nice one there!

Beautiful holster Bill, looks fantastic! You really need to send that #5 over here to Idaho so I can break it in proper... just saying.
