Not much. Made right across the street from each other, or were anyway last I heard. Used to be the same company then split and one moved across the road. C. Sharps used to use Badger barrels but I gather they don't anymore. Old Reliable is a trademark of C. Sharps and you wont find that on any but early Shiloh guns. Mike Venturino owns both and shoots both and likes both. I think one is as good as the other. I have a C. Sharps purchased when Badger still did their barrels, shoots great.

Only owned and shot Shilohs. They are incredible guns! Eventually I'm gonna order a fancy 50-90 but haven't convinced myself to do it yet.

I have a C. Sharps 1885 Highwall in .38-55. Absolutely no complaints. Beautiful rifle. A real hoot to shoot.

The C. Sharps is a respected rifle but I believe the Shiloh is somewhat better in overall quality. Fit and finish being on some measure better. The only C. Sharps I've handled wasn't as nicely put together as either of my Shiloh's. Shiloh just does it right. That's not to say C. Sharps isn't a fine rifle. It is just saying the Shiloh is nicer in my humble opinion.

My C Sharps 1874 exhibits fine workmanship and detail and is a very good shooting rifle and while I have not shot it in a while, it is one of the few guns I will not part with. I don't have any digital pix of it but I may rectify that soon and post them. I did write my rifle up for Gun World magazine some few years ago, have to dig it out, cant remember what issue it was. CRS disease.

Might just have to turn a FA 475 into a Sharps 45-110 😉..... thinking out loud.

My dad has a Shiloh Sharps in 45 2.6". It is drop dead gorgeous and as well put together as a mechanical device can be. It is also extremely accurate. 5 shot 100 yard groups are routinely a single ragged hole 3/4"-7/8" in diameter. I believe he is using the old Lyman government bullet and 5744. Eric Here is a quicky cell phone picture from when he picked it up.
