Was up on the West Boulder River south of Big Timber, Montana recently and came across this prairie rattler dining on a gopher. At least he can't bite me with his mouth full.

Normally, about here, I'd suggest adding said snake to your menu. Just lately though our Sixshot told us that them little varmints are increasingly carrying the plague !

I had a red tailed Python for a while. If he was interrupted after he made his kill, he could and did drop the prey in order to fixate on the other target.
Ever since seeing that happen I never assumed he was too busy to strike.
Just thought it worth sharing, never know what the temperament is like and what might set them off.

That's a dandy there 2Dogs... What did he succumb to? BigBore44 I shot him in the head with a Paco modified 22 hp from my Smith pre lock 317. I grabbed him by the tail end and drug him out of the brush. My brother wasn't satisfied that he was dead enough and gave him 2 more in the head.
