I got to thinking (not always a good thing ) In trying to keep a goodly stash of loading components, I started to think about primers. What is the general thought of using Magnum Primers for Everything? It would cut down on trying to get specific primers for this and that, and maybe be easier to keep track of everything IMO. What say y'all? Thoughts? Thanks BigBore44

Never !!!!! There are many loads that do not require a Magnum Primer. There are also Loads that work better with a Standard Primer. And Last,,, Even with ball Powders, in some cases, if using enough powder, or even compressing it slightly will give lower pressures and will burn just as much powder, WITH a Standard Primer. Things such as (how much) crimp and OAL come into play as well. If I wanted to simplify things too much,, I would just buy factory ammo. That was the two biggest reasons for "Rolling My Own", was to have accurate Loads, and to Tailor Loads to my specific needs.
