I'd like to see a flattop target or adjustable sight 32-20. Maybe a Stallion Target similar to my 38 Special on the smaller rimfire sized fram.

That's the one that prompted my question. That's a mighty long barrel.

My 45 Colt Flattop is in. While I'm not able to pick it up due to work, my LGS Manager is a serious gun guy. He says extremely well built and very tight.
Sent picture and the grips have some great grain in them. Most of my Uberti guns have plain wood.
Think I will be pleased.

Will anybody re-chamber or do work on these?
I'm thinking not but thought I'd ask.........

Not sure there are any rechamber possibilities with these two cartridges. There are a number of gunsmiths who do action work, etc.
I will do all the normal measurements, shoot and report on my 45 Colt.
Hope Toroflow will do the same on his 44-40. These are good times for revolver shooters.

It’s my perception that Uberti hasn’t actually run any of these in about 7 years (you fellas who have bought from Dixie and have had orders fulfilled, it would be useful to know the date codes on these guns when they show up).
Thus I would have doubts that Taylors and VTI have the barrels with sights and the trigger and the rear blade even though they show schematics and have shopping carts configured.
The model is a Cattleman with just different top strap treatment, so same cylinder, window, axis to bore dimensions etc. But without a parts stream if you wanted to change one around you’d be unwelding the front sight off a barrel and welding it on another.

Sack is correct on this point. All of the Uberti Flattops I've seen have been old production, with the odd skeletonized hammer incorporating a safety. I've owned one, and seen quite a few others. Of course you could change the hammer as well........

Just spoke to my LGS and he texted pictures of mine that is waiting. No skeletonized hammer or safety.

I picked up my FTT 45 Colt yesterday as I got off work early enough. I am immensely satisfied with the gun.
This made my fifth Uberti revolver. All have been excellent right out of the box.
The thinnest feeler guage I have is .0015". Both the barrel gap and headspace are less than that.
The throats are all six a very tight .452" and the gun weighs 39.4 oz.
Very good craftsmanship all the way around.
