.."thank you for your service" means many things to many people..
when I hear it from the left, I cringe, feeling like I've just been spit on.
from a family member of another vet, I share that remark of honor with their loved one.
when it comes from one of my grandchildren who are free - I know I did my job..

Amen to the above posts. I'll just add that my big Sis works for TAPS. Terminal Assistance Program for Survivors. They don't get the press,PR, or run flashy TV adds like the other Mil-Vet orgs.. There are no happy endings or smiling faces to put on camera, so.. www.taps.org
