Happy Memorial Day Weekend, Amigos! I am reloading some 10mm this weekend and using my usual Winchester WLPs. They work great but are bitch to clean out of the primer pockets afterwards. What primers work well for you guys? My WLPs are consistent and I like them, but I want to see if other primers would be cleaner.

I think "Dirty" has more to do with the powder than than the primer. Sometimes changing brands of primers will have an effect on group size. Ron

Agree with 2sheriffs fouling of primer pocket relates to fuel and burn/pressure environment, of which the primer plays a part. The Winchester Large Pistol primer is a superb primer for many responsibilities, of which igniting the intrinsically accurate 10mm Auto is one.
Pocket fouling seems only to matter when it impedes perfect seating, not otherwise. To clean or not clean primer pockets is the individual handloader's call. I make the call continuously, sometimes to clean, other times not to clean. Should the prospect of a dirty primer pocket cloud your mind at trigger time, better to clean. A haunted mind is not ready for the firing line. David Bradshaw

I always used WLP's as that is what was specified in the Hornady manual I was using for data.

I've always used Federal 150's in my 10mm loads with no problems.
