Robb,,,, maybe you need to spend a little time with Dick & let him teach you how to P?C your slugs. It sounds like you used the callshot method.

Boat They look good... What pc do you use, and what color is it?
I did some casting and pc'ing (200gr/44's) on Wednesday. This batch came out about the best so far.
Thanks BigBore44

Tyrone, Dick has spent so much time trying to help get the of thing down he is going to go to a per minute rate billing from now on. I guess I will just stick to the old Star machine with lube.

That young man sixshot and the other gentleman Hoover cane set you on the proper path! I read and re-read what they posted , and its easy as can be! Cast bullets need to be dry, dump them in the vibratory tumbler, add powder, vibrate 15-20 minutes, (about the the time it takes to make and eat a fried bologna samich) dump them in a colander and shake over a piece of newspaper, dump them on a pan lined with non stick foil, bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees and its a beautiful thing! Talked to Dick and tried that exact recipe and they look like crap. Maybe too much moisture in the air here in the Pacific NW in March.

Robb,,,, knowing how patient Dick is,,, and how fun callshot can be,,, ( misleading shooters who may outshoot him,) I'd say you may really be onto something with the humidity. It DOES make a difference. Cast some slugs, set aside, and wait for a rare day with low humidity & try it. Maybe shorten the tumble time to 10-15 minutes. I did that once when I had a bit more humidity in the air than I wanted. It helped!

How much humidity are we talking about? In April I coated several hundred pounds of bullets, some of were done on days when it was raining, I cast and coat outside. Were the bullets stored inside, then brought outside? Ronnie
