Am working OT lately and want to put some of the extra loot into bullets. Soo..who has the most Keith-like .44SWC that is coated ? Or at least who is offering coated 44 SWC's ? The one I've seen has a huge bevel at the base, and a shrunken forward band. The coating may negate these short coming, but..

You might also check Bayou Bullets and Leatherhead bullets (run by firefighters in Idaho).

Google-fu'd all of the above suggestions. After calling Western Bullet last week, several times with no answers, I get annoyed in this day when people are glued to a phone and yet I can't get a live body when I want one. So did call Mastercaster, left a message, waited an hr then called Penn who I have successfully dealt with several times. They now can coat anything they make. I know someone here had a bad experience lately, we'll see. Odered a mix of .476, and 2 kinds of .431's, the SWc and the Thunderheads. Boom-booms to follow . If you run a business, you should have and answer a phone, it should take messages if you cannot answer, you should return those calls promptly.

I do have to add, Mastercaster did call me back, gentleman was polite and professional sounding on the phone. Unforetunately it was 3-4 hrs later. I may try him another time. If I seem less than patient, I'll just say they put the phone number on the website, not me, and that I'm the customer..

If I seem less than patient, I'll just say they put the phone number on the website, not me, and that I'm the customer.. +1 on Mastercast. The only thing is you have to be patient with him calling you back, as he seems a one-man operation. Cannot beat his price though; 500 370 grain .476" bullets are $79/500 = 15.8 cents a bullet. I've bought a thousand from him for my two .480s and really like these bullets for plinking, as it doesn't "break the bank". I just received some of Missouri Bullets 340 grain flat base .476" and they really look good. Haven't shot any yet, but these were a tad cheaper than the Mastercasts at $46/300, which equals 15.3 cents per bullet. The problem (for me) on the Penn bullets is they're expensive IMHO. Their 335 grainers run $100/500 (= 20 cents per bullet); and their 420 grainers run $175/500 (= 35 cents each). The per bullet pricing doesn't seem bad, but when you order in the thousands, those extra dollars ADD UP, and preclude me from buying other gun related items! I have always been frugal to a fault!
