in recent years Ruger ( through distributors like Lipsey's) has brought out a lot of cool and interesting single actions. we've gotten various medium frame flat tops, the shopkeeper and adjustable sighted bearcats, the single seven, and the Five shot Bisleys just to name a few. while i'm more that happy with the options we have available today I can't help but wonder what's next?
personally i'd really like to see the medium frame flat top Bisley in 327FM with an extra 32-20 cylinder that was talked about last year on the forum. and now that Ruger knows they can make a safe five shot big bore it would be cool to see them come out with a 500 linebaugh.

I'd like to see more midframed flattop guns. 45 Colt (5 shot) Doubt we'll see this one due to safety concerns, but I wish Ruger would build it as well.

Been wondering when someone would throw out the 3 screw idea. I'd buy a couple new three screws!

Doubt we'll see this one due to safety concerns, but I wish Ruger would build it, as well. I can't see where there'd be any safety concerns. such a gun would be built specifically for heavy loads. Ruger might not like the idea of loads for this revolver making its way into weak guns. That may not seem to be their problem, but three screw accidents shouldn't have been their problem either. Lawyer think prevents lots of cool stuff from getting made.

I'd like to see a blued 5 shot SBH Bisley hopefully in 480 or 45 Colt. But honestly would rather just see cylinder specs and build quality get where it should be.

That may not seem to be their problem, but three screw accidents shouldn't have been their problem either. Lawyer think prevents lots of cool stuff from getting made. I understand the thought process, but don't see it. Like my present Flattop 45 Colt is limited to 23,000 psi loads. There are many reloading manuals that offer "Ruger Only" data. Of course, we understand that's for full size Rugers. SAAMI has limits for the 45 Colt, so as long as they don't recommend high pressure loads it seems ok. Just a different way of looking at the same thing. Suppose both thoughts are plausible. Just a wish on my part anyway. But, a 5 1/2" 45 Colt Bisley Flattop 5 shot sure would make me happy.
