The seller has the work order but it's not marked by Hamilton on the gun according to the seller.

There are a lot of people who will pay extra to skip the wait for a nice custom or even factory gun. When I got my first FA I wondered the same thing about all of the guns selling for full msrp or more.

Hamilton marks the rear of cylinder with a small crest so you know it is his work.

I paid that for mine and I got the 44-40 with it. I paid substantially less than that for my stainless 500 Linebaugh Nimrod...
