Didn't know that re: the DFC prefix. I always thought it was for David F. Clark. Thanks for the info! I did too until Gary set me straight. I've seen a couple of them surface for sale on Gunbroker. They've done well and I'm sure that DFC prefix probably had a lot to do with that.. Certainly doesn't hurt it. Mr. Granger just chimed in over on CAScity with some more info on serial number prefixes We had some other special numbers. Obviously Long Hunter (LH), Dallas Arms Collectors Asscoc (DACA), National Firearms Museum (NFM), NCOWS (didn't to many), and all the ones we did for a distributor in MA that I can't remember the name right now. These were the 200 each Storekeepers and Sheriff models in the 4 finishes (Rodeo, Rodeo II, Full Dome, and CC/DB).

Ive seen a couple of the DACA guns, the DFC's, many of the sheriffs models, but don't recall seeing a NCOWS for sell, but I've seen it advertised on a website years ago. I have a NFM prefixed gun that were the series made for Cherrys, being a copy of the National Firearms Mueseum's San Juan gun I believe. It's really nice with all the inspector marking's Odus C. homey is the cartouche initials left grip. Ronaldo Carr
