My project is out of the theoretical. 5 1/2 inch, octagonal barrel 475 Bisquero, black Micarta grips, Boge Quinn sight insert with white line, drift adjustable front sight. Regulated for 425@ 1200

That is a super exciting call. Is he spending more time building again, if anyone knows? I know John mentioned several times about him being so tied up ranching he wasn't able to keep up with demand for grips and guns.
Sure like my little octagon 475 boomer he made--and would love a stainless sister to it someday.

When I last talked to him about the 500 he is building he said he was cutting back on the lease land for farming and focusing more around the home ranch and doing some more gun work. Bodes well for those of us with stuff in the pipeline on his bench.

I regret selling that .500 Bisquero to you Will! This will assuage my grief.

Sweetheart of a 5 gun!! The "Boge" insert is a "U" shaped piece welded/soldered in the rear sight trough to help with the sight picture. It's a really slick idea. I've also seen it on Harton and Huntington guns. When /if I ever do another Vaquero custom, I would definitely have that done
