I have a 500 Linebaugh from Reeder custom guns. When the WFN bullets don't work from grizzly/ cast performance ammo I emailed Reeder right away. Gary Reeder said the chamber are cut for LFN bullets. Does anyone know of where I can find LFN cast bullets?
Anyone use jacketed bullets?

I have read that the WFN have caused problems in a lot of the tighter chambered guns. Seems if the chamber is cut loose enough for them, it causes blow by with other bullets.
Sure others on here can tell you much more than I can about this.

A jacketed one is made by Woodleigh bullets as well. BIG flat front on it too! I use them in my 50 Alaskan. For cast, Call Bryan Reece 765-541-8584

There used to be an outfit named "DKT" that made jacketed bullets for the 500 Linebaugh. As far as I know, they are no longer around. This was 15 or so years ago.

I got a hit on Google for Alaska Bullet Works sold through custom brass and bullets. Not sure if ABW is still in business. Pretty sure I have 2 boxes of their .510 jacketed projectiles, and I have a box of Buffalo Bore ammo loaded with their bullets. PM me if interested, but none of it was cheap.
Barnes still makes the 450 flat nose for the .50-110. They are in stock at Midway @ $1.27 per bullet

All of the ones listed are good jacketed bullets. The Barnes are really soft which have worked well for me on pigs and deer. Used a few of the 450s on a deer and pig in the 500 and the Alaskan pistols and was never disappointed. The 300 Barnes is really soft and will make a squirrel disappear The big Woodleigh mentioned is a tough bullet.

I sent Whitworth some Hawk bullets for the 500LB but don't know if he's gotten around to testing them out. You might give him a shout.

I've had Reeder and Bowen 500L revolvers choke on WFN bullets. LFNs are the way to go.
