What do you think the hardness of those bullets were?

What do you think the hardness of those bullets were? Generally I aim for 20/1 alloy. I don't heat treat or water drop so pretty soft. They still pock the steel (shipyard scrap) plates, especially the 327's.

May just be my favorite round.... About the only thing I don't like about it is how fast the lead drains out of my melting pot making bullets and how fast those bullets disappear out of the cartridge box. At least the grins last longer than the ammo.

I want that mold!
How deep do you have to seat to get it to work in the New Vaquero's? I shoot a NV and Flattop.

A good sixgun in .45 Colt can turn all other handguns into overpriced paperweights. My favorite sixgun cartridge.

I can't get the videos to play, likely because of my phone, but your stance in your avatar is classic, I keep pulling my vest back clear of my holster ready to draw down. Lol

I want that mold! How deep do you have to seat to get it to work in the New Vaquero's? I shoot a NV and Flattop. 1.660" They're pert near flush at the front of the cylinder. Never had one jump a crimp but I don't push em much faster than 900 fps in the New Vaquero, and almost always with Unique though the 45 Colt seems to perform well with everything I've tried. The RCBS 45-270 SAA will also feed through and shoot well in my Marlin 1894 Cowboy. The Lee 250 RF does a little better at longer ranges and the Lee 300 RF is my preferred rifle hunting round for the caliber. If I could have only one 45 Colt mold it would be the RCBS 45-270 SAA.

Great videos and awesome offhand work! I am pleased you posted them. It shows what can be done by a good man with a sixgun.
I sure hope you are around when the Commanches come spilling over the horizon! I'd love to sit back and watch you chase them back over the hill again!
