Where would I go to try to find an approximate value of some Colt Revolvers. I have a 1973 Peacemaker .22 with LR and Mag cylinder and original grips(Micassar Ebony grips on it now.) a 1962 New Frontier S.A.A. in .44 special, No box with either, micassar ebony grips on this one as well.
Looking to see where I can get real world values on the two. Thanks in advance

Most of the dealers in my area use the Blue Book of Gun Values that gives a reasonable estimate of value based on recent gun sales and auction data. Using the most current edition will be the most accurate. Some rarer models of Colts and S&W's are reportedly undervalued in the Blue Book but it does give a reasonable starting point for valuing guns. Checking recent sales on Gunbroker and other auction sites will also give you some idea what various guns will bring.

Gunbrokers, completed auction section will give you an idea of what they have sold for.
If you are a seller take a lot of good photos on list it on Gunbrokers for 14 days. This way the word will get out the bidding will be hot and heavy the last hour of the listing.

I'm just looking for value for insurance. Although I was surprised at what they sold for. Thanks for all of the replies

A 5.5" 2nd Gen .44 Special New Frontier is a special gun, indeed!

then it is probably a 6.5" I'll check when I get home.

It would be 5.5" or 7.5". In a 2nd Gen gun, either is uncommon, but the 5.5" was produced in lower numbers than 7.5".

My mistake. It is a 7.5" barrel. The .22 is a 4.5" barrel

Still a 2nd Gen .44 Special New Frontier, though. Not a common gun at all.

You should be able to insure them for what you want no matter what they're worth.
I lost everything I owned in a forest fire 13 years ago and trust me, it won't be enough.
You're paying for it.
