Still have not spent enough time with this to wring out its potential. So far some bulk 115 gr hollow points. Even had it in the " move along" line awhile back. Finally have a Alan Harton project in his hands as of yesterday! Thank you Fermin! 115 bulk hollowpoints??? Let me suggest Skeeters favorite bullet! The 358156!! Get a hollowpoint if you can. Crimp that bad boy in the second crimp groove. Remember the Super is Semi Rimmed so you CAN roll crimp! Back in the day the optimum powder we found for Super 38 with heavy bullets was WW540 nowadays known as HS6. Those cylinder mouths need to be precisely measured of course. I'll bet you end up with a dandy trail gun that will leave a 38 special choking in the dust. Enalber is right ! Just logged on to midways site and "notified" me when the Lyman mould is in stock. Now off to find some HS6! Good luck Eskimo you in trouble now!

I would think most of the custom revolvers sold in this country are between 2 or 3 people on this forum.

They seem to just bounce from one black hole to another.

What! P-) I don't know nuthin... FWIW I've seen a lot of custom deals made on the Ruger forum. 8-) Unfortunately, the Ruger Forum is still limiting participation based on a person's email provider... so I'm going to have to take the 500L straight to GB. Not really interested in getting a new email just for RF. It's amazing so many guns change hands at all, what with all the hurdles in the way.

Those hurdles are only hurdles if you want to use them as an excuse.....

Those hurdles are only hurdles if you want to use them as an excuse..... Twas just an observation. I've no need for an excuse. ;) If RF wants to exclude people who use certain email providers that's their prerogative. Soon as the wx here allows outdoor photos I'll get along to GB.

I could give you your money back on that deal and take it off your hands. Great looking gun.

Not a custom, but several years ago I bought a Freedom Arms .454 w/.45 Colt & .45ACP cylinders at a good price on Guns America. Gun was extremely dirty inside but otherwise in very good condition. Took a can of brake cleaner to wash out the innards and then relube. I never did figure out how the insides got so crudded up.
