Anyone have experience with this bullet in the 45 Colt? I'd be looking to run it over 13-14gr of HS-6.

Back when I started in this game and didnt cast I shot a few boxes of them. I don't remember if they were particularly accurate or not but I know I ran them with a similar load in my mountain gun for a while.
Later after I started casting I borrowed a very similar mold and cast myself a big pile of the bullets and I couldn't get them to shoot for hooey at any speed. But after the results I have seen from David Bradshaw's experiments with that 300gr WFNGC Bullet it might have been more the mold than the bullet design.
I will say Kelly Brost told me he shot more of that bullets than any of the other Cast Performance bullets when he owned the company. He said it was still his main shooter in 45s unless he wanted a heavy then it was the 335gr they offered. He was surprised by my inconsistent accuracy it have always found in WFN bullets, especially in lighter weights and at mild to moderate velocities. They seem to like to be leaned on some but your mile may vary of course.
I will say they would be worth trying for a box or two and see what results you get. They look like the would be a heck of a thumper.

I've had fair accuracy with this bullet, nothing mind blowing, but I never put in too much time with it. I bought them to run thru an FA 454 however, the bullet wouldn't fit in my gun! When loaded to the crimp groove, the bullet was too fat(ogive?). Mind you, I use CP 360gr bullets and they work fine. (Sorry, it's the weekend and my brain refuses to give me the words to correctly describe the problem, hope you get the jist of it.)

I use the 265 wfngc from Beartooth Bullets and it's very similar. I load 13 grains Blue Dot for about 1,000 fps fired from my 3-3/4" Montado. The picture in my avatar has some handloads with this bullet. The first posted pic is of the CP bullet. If you're shooting with a mid frame gun, I'd start down a bit and work up. Maybe start at 10 grains hs6 and chronograph your load. If you are using a large frame Blackhawk or Bisley then your listed starting load should be fine.

Ditto the above, I shoot the BTB 265gr out of my bird head converted to Bisley with very good accuracy, but push it to 1200 w/ H110. Trapr

I have not used that bullet. Any more I tend to use the RCBS 270 SAA bullet in my 45's.
