Although fascinated with the .327 Federal I had no real plans on buying one. But the more reloading articles I read the more interested I became. Then Ruger came out with the Single-Seven but resisted as I didn't really care for the balance of the SS in 5.5" and thought the 7.5 would be too long... But fortunately or unfortunately depending on ones outlook I had a GunsAmerica Wish List for any Freedom Arms 97s that were posted when I was looking for a couple of .44 Specals for friends. And last Monday one came up...a 6.5" in .327.... Turned out that this dealer had ordered it for himself over a year ago and when it came in decided he didn't want it so posted it on GunsAmerica well under current replacement cost. So a couple of my non-shooters went down the road to finance this one... Gun arrived yesterday and accessories should be here next week.... ...so I have jumped on the .327 Bandwagon. Bob

Congratulations on the purchase of a fine gun. I am waiting on one similar, due to deliver in March. Will have black grips and an extra cylinder in 32-20 WCF. I think you choose well.
I already have a T'SOB mount waiting on mine. You plan on scoping or using iron sights?

I like that! FAs are really nice guns (understatement of the year, I know)

Thanks...I am looking forward to shoot it... Was down at a local shop today and what was on the closeout shelf...a bag of 100 Starline cases...
No this is not my first FA. I have a 97/.22 LR 5.5", 97/.41 4.25" and a 654/ .41 6". Have also had 83s in .454/.45 Colt and a .475 both 6" guns.
I do not plan on scoping the gun at this time.
Ordered a mold from Accurate last Monday night. It is a 120 grain LBT style bullet with a .24 meplat called their 31-120S. They are fast as I got notice that it shipped today.
A friend in Ct. who I will be casting boolits with next week has one like this but with the 4.25" barrel. He bought the gun from a friend with the .32 H&R and .32-20 cylinders and then sent it to FA and had the .327 cylinder added. I don't think he has fired it with the .327 cylinder yet.

That will be a perfect ground squirrel gun for next time us visit.
The sage rats on the Pahsimeroi will be in big trouble.
