Wanted to get a group picture before a parted with a few and never got around to it before it was too late. So, when my old #26 475 made it back from John this week with new walnut stocks and more abbreviated barrel I figured it was a good opportunity to memorialize the herd before further thinning occurred.

Notice the difference in finish between the two walnut stocks on the bottom guns. One right is #26 which John just made. They come with a very matte almost unfinished look. The ones on left on my 475 stainless vaquero looked the same before I put dozen or so coats of linseed oil to them. Really like how the turned out so plan to do the same on the new ones.

Yepper Glenn, two of the three that headed north from you still present. Here is better view of the vaqueros--which I honestly carry far more than the others.

Will, would you please take a close up of the front sight on the octagon barrel Vaquero? I think I need one just like it in 45 Colt

Not really right now. They are hands down my favorites. If one were to ever go it would be the bottom one, which is a 500L. BUT it is my main rig, whether headed to moose camp or spring bears, that little guy is in my chest holster. Tried to talk myself into taking the top one which as one of John's personal guns this past moose season and last minute just couldn't do it.

Oregon, I agree on needing one in 45. It had two gold bars and single set screw.
I Wanted one and Dustin isn't just turning out tons of guns so I had Alan Haton make me one on a stainless vaquero, 5-shot, 4" octagon barrel, dovetail sight and micarta stocks which he finished back in 2013. It turned out awesome. But alas, it was Linebaugh so not in the picture.

I have several 5-shot 45's, sadly none by Linebaugh. The blued gun far right is a six-shot 45. I really, really, really want a banded barrel 5-shot Linebaugh in 45 someday. Need to just break down and order one.
Bush--I'll give you a heads up should I decide the sell that #3 vaquero. Not likely going to happen anytime soon though. After the cool conversation about that gun and #2 with Linebaugh a few weeks back I've reserved myself to prying with the other 500L vaquero and keeping #3. Problem is the other one is likely my favorite of the bunch so most likely keeping them all.
Those pictures are all up there in my favorites list and what is left after selling several of them the past few months. Got rid of 2 light 45's, a 500 and 475. So if/when the Wyoming gun goes--think in set for a bit--likely jinxed myself just then.

Almost bid on one very, very similar on gunbroker a while back. Decided the last thing I needed was to start down the Seville road--develope yet another maker facination, no thanks. Did think the logo on the barrel was overly cool however.
