Has anyone here ever placed an online order with them? I've found a shoulder rig I am interested in, but the selection menu only offers the choices "revolver or semi-auto" and barrel length (see link below). Shouldn't it be a little more specific - and include make/models and calibers? I mean, I have an M500 and a 586 L-frame, both are revolvers with 4" barrels, but there is no way they'd both fit the same holster. I'd like to order it, as I've heard good things about EPS, but I'm not interested in a one-size-fits-all holster, www.epsaddlery.com/p-79-200-shoulder-system-complete-rig.aspx#KitInPostBack

I just received an order from them. In the space where it put pistol type, I put in the exact gun the holster was for. It fits like a glove. I am planning on ordering another from them for an FA I have on order.

I bought their doc holliday shoulder rig for my single seven and it fits great. Just type in the gun make, model, and barrel length and you'll be good to go

Thanks guys. That makes sense. What had me confused is that most other holster webpages have drop down menus which list all the guns...and BTW Safarilands "holster finder" is particularly useful. EPS website should have said "make/model" not "type". Guess you can tell I'm a hairsplitter

Give them the details in the fields "pistol type" and "barrel length".

I love their leather, but sometimes the wait can be a bit much. One time, they screwed up the order, said they would make it right, which they did. Only problem was they put me at the back of the line again,(about 6 weeks!) no amount of whining would change their minds even though it was their screw up. I couldn't believe it. Haven't ordered from them since.

I was a loyal customer for many years. No longer--their service and customer focus is abysmal. My opinion of course, others may differ.

Thanks. Always good to hear both sides of a story. Since posting this, I've been looking at a very similar Bianchi shoulder-rig, the main difference being that it uses elastic straps. Initially, that was a turn off, but since I have a long history of continually adjusting leather straps, elastic seems like it would be more user friendly.

I've ordered 4 holsters and a cartridge belt from them in the past 3yrs. With no problems. Their is a wait but I don't know how long now. 3 or 4 months??? But good quality in my opinion.

Ordered a Three Person about a year and a half ago and it only took about 8 weeks. I only had border stamping done, nothing fancy. About to order a matching river belt and slide. They did well by me.

schmidty.... you looking for trail or street leather? El Paso Saddlery copy of the WW II tanker holster offers great utility as a throw-it-on-and-go rig. Excellent scabbard around tractors, chainsaws, etc. The bandoleer strap and slow draw take it off street consideration. Sixgunners on the forum who shoulder carry and throw themselves over mountains can steer you toward working trail leather. Bullroar about a pistol is supposed top be accessible not comfortable are unqualified to talk trail carry. Discomfort is hazardous to your anatomy on long stalks.
Elastic suffers a short life in the realm of good leather. A bandoleer strap works without adjustment for various clothing. A more sophisticated harness must generally be adjusted for particular clothing.
Your mention of Bianchi throws up my guard hairs. Much Bianchi leather is over-brined----dead, as compared with the best tanning. Furthermore, the spring-loaded front break typified by the maker is far too noisy and clumsy for a tracker, and requires an extravagance of movement to re-holster. David Bradshaw

I always liked they're tanker holster. Maybe I might have to get one for the Lipsey's SuperBlackHawk.

I have about six or seven EPS holsters. Anymore I'm not satisfied with anything else. The last two were bought on line during one of their sales. Each one is superb. However, last year I did have an issue with a Threepersons holster for a Ruger P95 that wasn't properly sown on the back and seemed a bit "short". Returned it, specified that I'd like to have the holster style changed to an Austin. They had no problems with that and didn't charge me the extra for the Austin. It came in about six weeks later and was perfect. Right now I'm waiting on a Threepersons neutral cant with basket weaving for a S&W Model 18 I picked up last November. I expect in another week or two it'll arrive and be perfect. Patience is in fact a virtue when ordering an EPS holster but in my opinion they're well worth the price of admission and the wait.

Thanks for the follow ups. I still haven't made a move on anything. To answer DB's question, it is for street use aka concealed. I suppose I'd better get something together soon...before the hot weather comes again, or else I'll have to wait until next Fall. As for the Bianchi, I've not heard anything negative until now. My Dad has some vintage Bianchis he bought back in the 70's or so, and they are still doing their job today. Perhaps things have changed over the years though.

I ordered a plain jane yaqui slide from them once. It took eight weeks to get it and for the money it was the cheapest pos leather I've experienced. If I want a quality carry rig without a long wait my go to is Simply Rugged. Top notch work all the way and if it's just a standard rig the turn around time is usually 2-3 weeks. Unless you buy something he has waiting in his online store. Then it's out the next business day. For security and comfort Rob's pancake's can't be beat. Add the Chesty Puller system and you can carry your piece in the field without worry. All for around $180.00. Heck of a value in my part of the country.
