While visiting my parents earlier this year I stumbled upon this in one of the local shops. All they could tell me was "it's not real". "not real" in the sense that the guns serial number dates to 1993 as does the paperwork in the box. The gun also only had 1 of the stocks.... The ones on it now are a set I bought off ebay from the Colt Custom Shop that I believe date from the 1980s. The barrel and cylinder are from the Sam Colt Commemorative. The gripframe is nickel as is the base pin, screws and base pin latch. The gun looks like it has been test fired but that is about all. Overall it is in 99% condition. Their theory was the gun was made up as a display item or possible an employee assembled it from leftover parts in the early 90s... It was priced as a shooter and since I was "Coltless" and liked the 7.5" barrel I gave it a home... Your thoughts would be appreciated...Bob
