Beautiful! John does great work and that micarta looks fantastic. I need a set or two for my 624's.

About how many pairs of grips can be made from a 15x12 sheet? I'm getting set to order some in from Sheffield's. It is the antique linear paper micarta, catalog no. MP84 correct?

The 15x12 would be XL224. I don't know how much of the slab he used for my set. Unlike SA grips, DA grips need the full thickness of the 1.125" slab for each panel. For SA grips, the slab can be split. You might want to contact John first. He doesn't seem too keen on making more. He said the machining was easy but thinning down to my desired thickness was a lot of work.

Thanks!
PS, John did come back and say he would make more and might even add it to his regular offerings. He said there was enough in the 15x12 block for four sets of target stocks. I had him put me down for another two sets.

Those are VERY distinctive and VERY nice!
I need to replace a chipped/gouged set of white poly "ivory" stocks on a stainless Single Six and something like that would fit the bill. Maybe even get another set for it's big brother (.45 flattop BH) but I don't see Ruger on his model listing.
OTOH they'd probably look good on the nickel .44 2nd Model HE I have...
