any interest in single action cylinders? my retired machinist buddy got a call back several months ago, from another friend that works at a local scrap yard... I might have mentioned this part before, but some guy's estate took all his gun parts & reloading components to the scrap yard... he has bought several buckets of junk from them over the last couple months, as they sort stuff out... he came home last week, with a bunch of assorted parts that recognized, but also in his 5 gallon bucket was around 15-20 assorted single action cylinders ranging from 22 Bearcat & single six cylinders on up... I'm going to list them for sale if anyone is interested... most can be positively identified, but some are still a mystery... the bulk are Ruger cylinders from single sixes & blackhawks ( I think ) I don't have any pictures yet, but will have his best guess list tomorrow or so, & can take any pictures ( warning, my camera skills are lacking ) if someone is interested anyway is it OK on this forum to list parts for sale in the lounge & is this the kind of thing there is any interest in?

I think anything without a serial number would be acceptable, since its definitely noy a firearm.
I'd think about a .357 or .44 blackhawk cylinder if the price was low enough.(really really low!) Might some day use them for a tight chamber 44 or 45.

I'd be interested as well. Specifically, a Bearcat cylinder.

Sure! An unmodified S&W 1917 cylinder or .455 Hand Ejector cylinder would be useful at my place...

I'm always interested in junk single action cylinders to practice filing a black powder chamfer. Tough to get in much practice on the hundred dollar kind! If you end up with any really ugly or worn ones, I'd love a crack at them at the right price. Thanks , Tim

I'd be interested in a Bearcat cylinder if you find three. I need a new model one.

Usually to ream out to .22 Magnum. Heck, in that case I'd be in for an OM Bearcat cylinder too!

I'm no expert, Old Model Cylinder not long enough. I'm no expert either and my rememberer is broken as well! I thought it was the OM Bearcat that had a handful of convertibles made. Looking at medicdave's thread further down the page I believe they were NM Bearcats. Will a NM cylinder fit an OM Bearcat?

How about a Ruger Blackhawk cylinder in 45 ACP? I'd like one or two of those.
