Any of you gents use this bullet on big game from deer on up? The plated bullet NOT the 300 grain hollow point. I handload but don't cast and I get good accuracy out of my Stainless Ruger Bisley 45 Colt with them, I've just never had the chance to use them on game. I haven't read much about them at all except for a little by Ross Seyfried who seemed to like them.
On Speers website they only recommend this bullet for plinking and targets NOT big game.

I have used those bullets, but have not shot any game animals with it yet.

I've load those bullets for both 44 & 45's but never shot anything with them. But I have shot them in to magazines & dug them out of the dirt & they hold together pretty good.

I haven't used that bullet, but I did use the 44 cal version on a hog. 1 shot exited behind the shoulder. The other shot broke both shoulders and was bulging the hide on the far side. The bullet weighed 198 grains.

Probably the tuffest jacketed bullet would be Sierra's 300gr. For 44 & 45.
