Hello
I am looking for info and results. What is the max velocity for a 350gr Hornady bullet out of a 7.5 barrel bfr? Also, what is the max velocity of a 460gr Cast Performance bullet out of the 7.5 barrel?
Thanks Mark

Mine came with paperwork that said the BFR could take Marlin/Ruger #1 loads. I personally wouldnt want to pull the trigger on those.
Other than that, standard pressure loads equal 454 Casull loads with much less recoil and is a tack driver.

these numbers are with a 10" barrel in the BFR, 350gr hornady FP interlocks, velocities averaged over 5 shots. (in a 7.5 inch barrel, you may get 50fps lower velocities??) powder: SR4759 27gr 1256fps 28gr 1303 29gr 1342 30gr 1401 31gr 1440 32gr 1535 powder: IMR4198 32.0gr 1219 34.7gr 1347 37.3gr 1431 40.0gr 1573 42.7gr 1659 (beginning to get painful) 45.0gr 1685 (yeah.... it gets painful above this point) i have settled on 31gr SR4759 or 37.3gr IMR4198. when i load thge powder, i then take take a cut piece of toilet paper that i ahve cut into 9 pieces and stuff one piece down onto the powder. this keeps the powder up against the primer. cheaper than using filler material. i have since then had jack huntington shorten the barrel to 8+3/8 inches
